Thugs, bitches, abusers, jeremy hunts, bigots, transphobes, haters. These are the names our elected politicians call us because we want to protect women and girls. These are the names they call us because we will not say men are women, because we recognise reality. Because we will not repeat the catechism.
Our politicians tell us we should be kind. I agree, but I ask who should we be kind to? should we be kind to the male sex offenders identifying as women after arrest or should we be kind to women in prison, 80% who have suffered injury from domestic abuse predominantly perpetrated by men?
Should we be kind to the man who calls rape survivors bigots or should we be kind to the victims of rape who are asking for the right kind of help and support?
Should we be kind to the men who ape and mock us by pretending they understand anything about being a woman?
Our politicians tell us to be kind and what they mean is be kind to them.
Be kind and don’t ask tough questions about policies they cannot justify but sound good.
Be kind to them by not asking about who will be victims if we exclude some men from safeguarding.
Be kind and keep quiet because they don’t have any answers is what they mean.
By be kind they mean shut up, don’t complain, put others first. We say no. We will not shut up. We will be kind to women. We will put reality first. We will keep asking questions.
We are being gaslit by the organisations that are meant to support us, an abusers tactic. They want us to deny our own reality, they want us to ignore the male voice, they male physicality, male violence. We will not. We will tell the truth. Women are Adult Human Females and our privacy, dignity and safety is valid.
